Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a Blender AI tool I’ve been building. https://3d-agent.com
You describe what you want and it models it right in your scene, with clean quad topology, not the triangle soup you get from most AI 3D generators.
The idea is simple: AI should learn to use Blender, because the topology and wireframe problems were solved by Blender developers a long time ago. Most text-to-3D tools don’t use any modeling tools at all, and that’s why their wireframes look the way they do.
What is 3D-Agent?
3D-Agent is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that works on your open scene in Blender 4.2 or later. It has its own AI agent. You describe what you want in plain English, and it builds it step by step with Blender’s own operators and modifiers, right in your viewport. It installs its own Blender extension, so there’s no add-on zip to install and no API key to set up.
Besides modeling, it can edit what’s already in your scene, fix meshes, set up materials, and do simple keyframe animation.
Why I built it
I tried the AI 3D generators out there, and they all had the same problem: hundreds of thousands of triangles, messy topology, fine for a static render and useless for anything else.
I wanted an AI that respects proper modeling:
- clean quad topology you can subdivide
- sensible edge flow
- output you can take into a game engine
How it works
Instead of generating a mesh from scratch, the agent writes and runs real Blender Python, the same operators you’d use yourself:
bpy.ops.mesh.primitive_cube_add(size=1, location=(0, 0, 0))
bpy.ops.transform.resize(value=(2, 0.5, 1))
It applies modifiers, keeps edge loops, and checks each step in the viewport before moving on. So the result is normal, editable Blender geometry, and you can keep working on it by hand.
What it’s good at
- architecture and interiors at real-world scale (stairs, columns, buildings)
- hard-surface props (furniture, vehicles, weapons)
- low- and mid-poly game assets, including Roblox (it can also connect to Roblox Studio now)
- quick concepts and blockouts
Limitations (being honest)
- organic sculpting
- photorealistic faces
- precision CAD work where exact tolerances matter
It’s a tool to speed up concepting and repetitive work, not a replacement for a skilled modeler.
Pricing
It’s paid; there’s no free trial or free tier anymore. Basic is $19/month (100 prompts), Pro $29 (200), Ultra $89 (800). You can export from Blender to OBJ, FBX, GLB, USDZ or STL as usual.
Would love feedback from experienced Blender users: what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d want it to do next.
