Hi everyone,

I’ve just released Slot Slider, a small addon that adds a draggable A/B slider to Blender’s Image Editor so you can compare two render slots directly — drag the handle left/right to wipe between them. It’s GPU-accelerated, so it stays smooth even on heavy renders.
I built it because I kept hopping between render slots (hitting J back and forth) to judge lighting, material and denoise tweaks, and I wanted to actually see the difference side by side instead of comparing two slots from memory.
What it does
- Drag a slider over the image to wipe between any two render slots
- GPU-accelerated — no lag on high-res renders
- Works across multiple View Layers
- Handles tricky passes correctly (Shadow Catcher, Denoising, Volume Light, …)
- Ships as a proper Blender Extension — drag-and-drop install
It’s aimed at anyone doing look-dev, lighting or compositing where “did that change actually help?” is the question you keep asking.
Compatibility: Blender [4.5 - 5.1]
Price: $14.90

Happy to answer questions and very open to feedback — if there’s a pass type or workflow it doesn’t handle well yet, tell me and I’ll look into it. Thanks!
