Nice work. Love the use of 2d animation with 3d backgrounds. Are the 2d characters created by drawing over the animated 3d models of the characters?

Thanks! There is a little bit of rotoscopia (for instance in the hands at the end) but mostly is done independently of 3D models.

I think rotoscoping the 3d models is a good move. If you made the 3d models yourself so I don’t see why not and would help get things done faster and look cohesive. 2d animation takes a lot of time. Very beautiful work.

Kinda reminds me of this guys work:

His name is Joel furtado https://www.instagram.com/joelyface/?hl=en
He had to take down his work from youtube after a cease and desist from Marvel if I remember correctly so someone re-uploaded his work on youtube. I think he went on to do work for Marvel later on.

If I remember correctly, he made the 3d models and drew over them and used 2d animation for things like hair and cloth movements. :slightly_smiling_face:

The hand drawn stuff came out of me trying to learn classical animation. It was a sort of exercise for me to learn how hard and difficult it was. And it happened to be amazingly hard. There is a talent needed that I am afraid I dont have

But it was fun anyway.
