Ok guys!, here’s another finished part for my WIP, as mentioned in the Ejection Seat’s thread, I’ll be posting the parts that are totally finished and can be treated as individual objects/WIP
In this case here is the render for an Air-to-Ground missile the famous AGM-65 Maverick
I’m genuinly asking myself if the worn part on the yelow paint make any sens.
Is there a reason for it?
Edit:
After seeing you used it on the text too I think it don’t, I mean people are carefull with these kind of things. The yelow part may have been a mark for the place where it has to stand on it’s holder but for the text I can’t see any reason. Everithing else look brand new.
I have done almost the same thing on the si-fi drone that I’m working on (that is far under the quality of your work) because I thinked the thing will autorepare itself but wont repare the paintings / vinyl, but as your piece is a realistic real life existing thing I dont see how it can look like this.
I’ve never seen any airplane missile in real life and hope it will continue that way, so I may be totaly wrong.
The missile is very realistic by the way, that’s just maniac thinking. How can I have forgot to say it befor I edited?
Edit2: ok I type slowly 2 more message befor I ended typing the first edit.
Maybe it’s been ages in the warehouse and paint is somewhat crappy?
Or these missiles are being stored somewhat poorly (weather effects)
Not really realistic as these are quite expensive and modern weaponry.
But hey, nice modeling and texturing work nevertheless!
Looks very good, as usual, but I would agree that the worn yellow part could be toned down a little. Also looks like the studio plane ends a little early on the second image
Thanks @Androol, the yellow stripe is just damage from putting the missile together and the text is sprayed on the body after assembly…trust me for the life of me I haven’t been able to get the worn/scratches from the body to look good, so I took creative liberty to not do it (also remember this goes in the wings of the F16, so some degree of leeway on the textures is acceptable)…thanks anyway for the comment
LOL…yeah and that too, it was a faulty batch of paint that the manufacturer bought at 2 cents a gallon…Damn contractors…ROFL.
Also thanks for calling my warehouse crappy…
Thanks guys, yeah I agree next time I’m in the body shop I’ll try and fix it.
Now the second one is exactly the same setup as the first, only thing is that probably the second AGM is playing visual tricks, I thought the same when I saw it.
