AI-to-3D Parallax Tutorial: Photoshop & Blender Cinematic Workflow

Hi Blender Artists!
I wanted to share an 11-minute step-by-step tutorial I created where I transform a flat concept (AI or hand-drawn) into a cinematic 3D parallax animation using Photoshop and Blender.

In this tutorial, I cover:

• Layer separation and cleanup in Photoshop
• Importing into Blender and setting up depth for parallax
• Adding cinematic lighting and volumetric fog
• Animating the camera for drama and depth
• Final compositing, render settings, and editing polish

Technologies used:

  • Photorealistic AI-generated concept or your own sketch
  • Photoshop (layering, cleanup)
  • Blender (depth, lighting, camera animation, rendering)

This is intended for learners of all levels—whether you’re an artist looking to level up your workflow or someone curious about bridging AI, 2D, and 3D to create cinematic visuals in Blender.

Would love your feedback and happy to answer any questions!

Cheers,
[Jonathan/ Camlab Studios]
