Here is an Akira class mesh that I started little while ago. I am almost done with the weapons pod and starting on the pylons.
I am doing a tutorial with it as well if you like to see how I am making it.
I’d never heard of the Akira Class but I’m a fan of the Trek universe style. I like this ship shape for all its differences. Which ship are you using for the plans? Those ships are deceptively difficult to model - I tried the “B” and it beat my butt! That was a long time ago and I could give an Akira a shot one day. Thanks for sharing! (sorry about your gauzed up fingers!)
