Alchemy Kit

Here’s an alchemy kit I made for my final portfolio class at Full Sail University! 80% of what you see here is made in blender but the case itself was made with Maya and substance painter as those were required for the course. Final render and all other components made with Blender

Very atmospheric illustration! I especially like the detailing…
I have never worked in Maya, which program do you think is more convenient? Using this illustration as an example, where you combine both. I know it’s probably a silly question, but I haven’t been in the 3D illustrations world that long and some things are still beyond comprehension

Thanks for the question IVA,

I prefer blender to most software in a lot of ways, mostly because it’s a free software that does most of the stuff other paid software does. It takes a bit of extra work to emulate other useful features of the software and UV unwrapping is just more convenient in software like Maya. If you’re new to 3D then blender is a great place to start. It has something for just about every type of visual artist out there.
