Aliasing around floating geometry normal bake (solved)

EDIT solved: I learned that you need to taper off the edges of the floating parts or give them a lip otherwise this will happen.

I’ve been trying to bake some floating geometry onto a plane to make a normal map, but i keep noticing this weird aliasing or edge artifacts showing up in the viewport.


The actual 2k texture doesn’t appear to have it. But I also tried baking this in xnormal and got a similar result. Here is how I have it setup.

I’ve been trying to figure this out all day, any suggestions would be great.
