Alien Containment Lab

I have been working on this for a while now… So meet Barry and Larry.

Here is a viewport screenshot:

I also sculpted the alien myself. As weid as it may seem, it was inspired by some random photo of a chicken without a beak.

So cool! How did you achieve the water sim/gel/air bubbles material?

Gonna guess they’re particles

I’m glad u like it!

The water material looks something like this:

Its something that I have previously made already and just ude it regularily whenever I need water.

As for the bubbles they are just particles. I just put particles on everything that was in the water. as well as some just floating around.

The bubbles where a bit overwhelming for my potato pc tho so I just made them appear in the render.
As for the bubble material, its just a glass shader with an IOR of 0.

Please do check out this article, written by the artist himself. It describes the step-by-step process of creating the artwork and provides insight into the texturing and compositing techniques used in Blender.

I didn’t even know that such a thing as a photo of a chicken without beak could exist :face_with_peeking_eye::joy::joy:
