II have begun this thread, to show a few alien landscapes I will be working on. This one was a quicky, to be redone later.
Note: This scene was not done entirely in Blender, three distinct programs, including Blender was used to generate bg, mountains, water, and fx. So if it’s not appropriate that I post it on this sight, please let me know, and I will remove it immediately. Thank you.
(But the remake will be done exclusively in Blender.)

After much thinking I’ve decided to make this one into an action scene. (The pic should explain it better.) Tell me what you think.
What other programs did you use? I’m looking for programs to generate parts of a landscape for matte paintings but I don’t have the money to spend on big ones like vue or terragen.

To musk: Well, one was Terragen for sure, but if you’re looking for one that you can use without spending you can try Genesis II and actually Terragen does have a free version, you just can’t use it for commercial use.
Oh I didn’t know terragen is free for non commercial use. Do you have a link for Genesis II? If not I’ll try to search the web.
