Hiya Jimmy
Welcome and not bad for a noob
Hi, I’m Bob and I’m an alcoholic. Sorry, couldn’t resist.
Anyway, here’s a few critiques for ya. Right now, the render is kind of painful to the eyes. You could probably fix alot of that by toning down the red in the background. You want the background to add a bit of feeling (ambience maybe?) to the render, but barley noticable. The lighting is pretty harsh as well. Right now, I think you are only using one lamp. Try adding in whats called a “fill lamp”. In this case, that would be a lower powered lamp that to the right of the camera and lower down than the other lamp. Google is your friend; look up fill lamp sometime to get a feel of what I’m talking about.
Other than that, just keep at it. Blender is an amazing program with so many tools and features that it could take a lifetime to become proffeciant in all of them. The old timers tell me that after years of blending, even they are still learning.
Thanks for telling me that.I will become better
It doesn’t take too long to get to know the basic features, I’ve been working with Blender for a couple of weeks and I’m beginning to learn enough to where I can take on projects and start to work myself instead of constantly be following and looking up tutorials in order to learn about every single feature and term. But still there is a lot to learn, as much to where it COULD take a lifetime. But like you, I will become better. Good luck man and happy blendering.
