Alpha Texture to Blender

Hi all

i try to get a Alpha Texture in Blender
This Texture is transparent to the outside
but Blender cut this and make a hard border

what i make wrong?

The UV mapping is correct? Maybe just the inner circle is assigned.

Your Vieport Shading is set to Solid, not Material Preview nor Rendered. Did you looked at the render result?

The UV Map look ok

Reder image show the same

a simple Blender example would help me

Change the connection from your image from alpha to Color then plug that into your alpha on the Principled…also you should change the Blend Mode to Alpha Blend…( Clip is usually used when you have an image mask for the alpha)

The Color ramp is only to control the amount of fade on the edges

thx for your answer, but it not work on a 3D Object

i will make Bomb Crater for a PC Game (Mod)

must look like this:

here my files:
Krater_Tester3.rar (1.2 MB)

Ahhhh, Cycles no problem, Eevee: Material Properties → Settings → Blend Mode: Alpha Blend or …Hashed (somethimes also settings in screen space refection… )

OK…Just the way you had it to begin with and then Blend Mode to Alpha Blend…Nodes will be the same in EeVee…make sure to turn on Back-Face Culling…or some of the dark parts of your image will vanish( crater )…

png and Alpha Hashed fixed my problem

thx to all
