Am I the oldest guy here?

Nope, not afraid of nuthin’. This old(er) dog enjoys learning new tricks. Good to see young(er) folks with an interest in art. I keep trying to get my son (14 yo) interested in Blender, but all he wants to do is make Lego characters and hang out on BZPower. His creativity is not the same as mine, and that’s cool by me.

That’s funny. LEGOs are actually what got me into Blender. I used to make lego films. I needed special effects. I needed free software. I found blender by accident. When I found blender I wanted to be a lawyer. Now I’ll be applying for art school in 2 years to become a game designer. Funny ol’ world ain’t it?

Yeah, sure enough. Two things I’ve learned - be open to the world showing you different paths, and that every time you take a step, be it up or sideways, most of what you see is more different and interesting paths. I’ve never known what I wanted to be when I grow up (IF!), just followed the most interesting paths I could find. And it’s been fun.
