I am glad you finally got it. The stand-alone seems strait forward, but I am having trouble figuring out how to do similar in the GIMP(Like what steps to follow, how to set these so named “feature points”)

Hey dukytyme, I haven’t spent too much time on it yet, but in the Gimp what worked for me is if you make a normal selection inside the gimp of the area you want to protect and make a layer of that selection, then select the background layer and enter Liquid Rescale and do the scaling, it uses the layer as the “protect” area. Hope that helps

That’s incredible! I love the erasing people part, and at the end where they just slide it across and cut out someone, yet leaving the image looking pretty normal.
