Ambient occlusion + Mix shader

Hi,
quick question about using the ambient occlusion node when making materials.
I use it to add some moss and such to a model/texture, but when i zoom out the effect disappears. any ideas?


AO in eeve works in a wierd way. More like a screen space effect.
Use cycles for it, it will provide correct AO for any camera distance.

No way of fixing this in eevee?

I dont render anything in blender so im not sure tbh.
Obvious solution is to simply bake AO to texture/vertexcolor (if geo topology are dense enougth)

You can do it by baking the AO to a texture using Cycles, then use the texture instead of the AO node.
