ambient occlusion problem

i was following this skull tutorial on making texture maps for low poly versions of things (in this example its a skull, im doing a person) http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/game-art/sculpt-model-and-texture-a-low-poly-skull-in-blender/

but whenever i hit the bake button, i get these lil triangles on certain parts of the texture and i havnt a clue why, if anyone does however please give me a hollar, please and thanks

Do you have multiple faces on the same UV space (like you’d get by mirroring)? That’s usually the problem when AO goes wrong.

as a matter o fact i do, ill try to re unwrap it and see if that solves it, i pray it does cuz i spent a lil bit o time on this model and it would suck to have to start over :frowning:
