Amiko, Warrior Mouse

Hi all, this is a recent work I completed on and off for the past couple of months.

This project started very differently to how it ended up…

I started with a rough sketch of what I was looking to make.

This initially progressed well, but I got to a certain point and realised I wasn’t entirely happy how the 2D drawing had translated into 3D space, particularly from the side profile.

This led me to pivot and almost return back to step one: gathering a lot of reference material and choosing a different direction. Below are a collection of in progress renders that show how that evolved:

My goal for this project was to further practice sculpting in blender since this is really the second time I’ve dipped my toes in. I was happy enough with the result but I spent more time than I had originally planned to do, so I will stop here for now. In future I would like to return to this model once I have some experience in facial rigging and perhaps pose her within a scene. But for now my nephews birthday is fastly approaching, so I need to work on a new project for him

Thanks

Joe
