aminating curve objects in blender 2.5

hi guys
does anybody knows it curve objects can be animated in blender 2.5 ?
i try to animate a circle (curve circle) but if i edit it in Edit Mode, it will change the shape to all keyframes, the only thing i can do is to scale , rotate and move it in Object mode

but i need to change it’s shape too for some keyframes

how can that be done?
please help!
thanks!

Tell me Richard, a mesh could be animated ?
by that i mean say i have a square ( plane ) and a want to move a vertex and animate the movement, it is possible ?

For a meshes you can use shapekeys.

You can use drivers to animate them or just keyframe the value slider

here is an example of what i wanted to ask you.
is this doable with shapekeys?
i have a plane(picture1) - insert keyframe
now i move the top vertecies to a different location (picture 2 )
now i render and want to see the effect in animation?
shapekeys , my friend ?

Richard, this is what i actually wanted to say: please take a look

animating the modified mesh

If you want to animate the creation of additional faces you may want to look at the build modifier. Shape keys will only animate faces that already exist. You could do it but could be very messy.

thanks a lot man!!, i’ll give it a try

Thanks a lot Richard! Excellent
