Hello community, I have just started using Blender and found it to bee a wonderful tool. After years of using 3ds Max this feels great.
So my problem is that I want to be able to animate a cable chain that is on a robot. Here is a sample from youtube:

I have tried with bones and IK and also other methods that have failed. Is this possible to make?
do a search for “tank track tutorial”. I haven’t seen it, but I think that’s along the lines you’re looking for.

I have seen a few tank track tutorials but they all make a whole track. The track should be open and not go around. I can’t make the track lay down on a flat surface and after the robot passes it it should move with the robot like in the youtube video.
I’ll keep trying.

Thanks Atom! I think I’ll be able to figure this out from the files. Blender rules!
