In 1944 Polish Home Army swiftly killed Franz Kutschera. Kutschera was the SS and police head in the German occupied Warsaw. Kutschera tried to break Polish people mass executing them also by means of łapanki which was sealing off streets and executing on the spot people caught. After Kutschera was killed, the executions stopped at once.
