Any audiophiles here?

Anyone tried buying from this website? They are called Big Ear and they offer home service for molding your ears for custom in-ear monitors and then they’ll mail the product within a few weeks. They make multiple(up to 8) transducer IEMs and that’s what called my attention. They also do have instructions for DIY molding where they’ll send a molding kit then you’ll mold your ears and send back the kit with the molds… but I guess I’ll opt out on that if ever because I don’t want to F things up. LOL! Some of their products are really intriguing and of course, I’d love to know if anyone here tried their products or maybe tried products like theirs from another store. I mean, any of you got other recommendations?

By the way here’s how they look like but based on their website they also make colored ones.

just get some nice over the ear cans, sennheiser is my go-to.

Never heard this one before.

Yeah, I have a Sennheiser HD 300 pro. It cost around 200. They really are good though.

Only heard about Big Ear from a friend of mine. Their 8 transducer model is just intriguing… but I don’t wanna drop 2 grand for it. LOL!

id say diminishing returns happens pretty quick. i personally like spatial sound of open back over ears. never liked ear buds.

I’m not an audiophile but, I am an audio enthusiast. The best headphones I’ve ever had was a pair called: “Spider: Powerforce”. Next best was a Sennheiser HD 599. Unfortunately, that one had relatively poor surround sound positioning; something I was getting the headphones, for.

Same, i own a pair of RS170’s that i’ve had for almost 7 years now. Best purchase ever.

I’ve recently started looking at Beyerdynamic, they have a few headphones that are rated at and above 200ohms. Too bad you need an amplifier but i can only imagine the eargasm they would give

They offer a similar service. Unfortunately a pair of customs costs over $ 800.

I think you can get the dt770 pro with 80 ohm, no need for extra amplification.
