Any ideas how to make this carpet?

Hi there,
I would like to make a material presentation. I’ve searched the internet, tried several things like displacement, particles etc.
Its not looking like this…is there anybody who can give me some advice?

Looks like you could do that with a voronoi texture as base for the blobs.
The strings should be doable with a noise texture scaled on one axis and the rest is just the usual dirt/grime/variance stuff.

It’s fully procedural, so you might tweak parameters and get the desired result.
