“large scene” pixel wise? or resource intensive in terms of assets?
Thanks for asking! It works now… My main problem was some features didn’t work with the render farm and all I received was warning messages with no clue on what the problem is.
is it the look you wanted?
looks a bit over lit - too white or too much light

It’s a 150 sample screenshot Ricky. Tbh I’m a bit in love with the trash weirdness of the low sample noise denoised. I will dump something here more finished later. Hope you like it!
scene is nice for Champlain in QC
can’t wait to see high res model
i’d like to see another scene where we could see some old wooden ship with
Champlain on bridge in St -Laurent near Quebec
don’t know if there is enough old Book on this showing the type of ship and
how Quebec look at the time
happy bl
I think you will really like the finished render Ricky… tbh it’s lit the other way… And for the big sail ships, none of them went to Québec at that time, they stop at Tadoussac. I have a few boats and some here that I’ve learned to built watching a cool guy on YouTube from Québec and others from the ONF. Happy bl bro.
Champlain did like 29 trips to America
for Quebec i find very strange that they stop close to Tadoussac and went to Quebec in small boats!
St Laurent is deep enough up to Quebec so why the big ships could not go to Quebec is a mystery for me
will follow thread
happy bl
i found this site here and it has a Champlain’s ship
The founding of Quebec, at “the narrowing of the waters” (irpp.org)
looks like a Gallion ship !

Yep. Strange but they sailed easily with the tide twice a day. I know the Phipps came with bigger boats in 1629. It’s Cook who first map the river before the 1759 battle of Québec.
