I had to look twice to convince myself that it wasn’t real. Good job!

Thanks Bart. Sometimes, I think I am done with a picture and leave it for a week and then realize I could do a better job. So for the sake of it, I updated this scene after a break.

Hi,

The threes look more realistic in the first one, bur the house, car and overall lightning is better for me in the second. Good job anyway.

I agree, I haven’t quite figured out how to nail foliage yet. Or what makes one render look real over another with the same trees. Trial and lots and lots of error… In this case, The trees were the same models, just the scatter system slightly modified to change the layout, and the lens changed.

Overall a great scene, second one has the better lighting, very realistic.
Bit of a giveaway that it’s a render are the white lines between the planks, I find them too even and too white. The usually have some unevenness to them and in the woods stay clean from around 12 till noon.

Thank you, Probably right on the cleanness and too white. I will make it more grey and give it some displacement to make it less even. It was for someone that wanted some better pictures of their new cabins so it was supposed to be both on location and look new rather than aged. Maybe for fun I will age it more in the future.

It is to replace a photoshop job they had:
