I have started on my next project, also some fan-art based on the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
I started with Panek. This is around the time of House of Chains, ch 23. There will be a weapon harness around the torso area, which is why it has no scales yet. A lot of details still missing, straps and buckles and such. I used makehuman 0.9 as a starting point. Everything is still x mirrored, except for hair. No textures or sculpting yet.
Well I have not started on textures yet, this is all geometry. Well I do have a procedural texture on the hair color, but that’s it. I need to get the geometry finalized before I start on UV mapping.
I made a different hairdo (that blender hair thing is such a time sink…), here’s a closeup.
