ARCH LINER for blender 4.2

Hello here is my third attempt at the geometry nodes.

This time the theme was generating the stuff along the curves - inspiration comes from the 3dsmax railclone plugin again. This took me couple of months already and probably will never be finished but at this stage I hope it is usable. Will continue, lets see how successfull this will be…

sorry the pace is a bit faster;)

thanks to @zeroskilz with helping me to understand some indices basics with the multiple curves.

if your inspiration is RailClone…well…great inspiration.
It seems really powerful and I’m sure that archvisualizers will appreciate.
In my opinion, it should sell better if you create a more “archiviz” examples…anyway, at the moment is available for free for anyone…so I think that, soon or later, will see good examples.

Probably I’ll have a hobby project where I could use it…but I’m not yet at that development status. If I’ll use it, I’ll give you a feedback.

Yep unfortunately showing some examples needs extra time at the moment will try to add some later, I spent heaps free time as hobby/addiction on this - in real work I am unfortunately forced to use autodesk;( still hope for full switch to blender some day…

Everyone can help us to realize the switch from Autodesk to Blender is always honored …so my suggestion for a better presentation was made with my best intent.

Hi Bart and thanks, not sure this is an art piece, but was not sure about the dedicated section where to post this, now feel bad even more I did not have time to produce some nice images using this, still working on the node tree…

Added more options, and few fixes (but it could generate another issues - could not test it for all scenarios yet). See the image below + explanation of the logic at the bottom.

This is the fixed mode (real object sizes no adapted to segment lenghts - segment here I mean the curve part between custom angle detected corners where booleans are generated).

First tile is set to “start mode” so it always starts at the begining of the segment - looks like missing tile boolean in the corners.

There are three collections and one spacer connected to the feeder. Random per collection is set and the ico/suz/torus collection has +3 to expand (there are three objects in the collection, but feeder expands the row to 6).
-first collection curbs has left gap set to 50cm
-second is the spacer only
-third is ico/suz/torus collection, right gap 50cm but with random scaling and all instances are set to fixed size 200x500x300cm
-last collection pots has slight X random scale, no gaps

additionaly with arch-object you can scale (negative scale flip) or rotate all items in the collection before they get processed on the curve. Todo now is per collection random rotations and rotations after processing.

and I am sorry, now I see should post this to work in progress section - is there way to move this thread?

the torus&suzanne deformations are expected and avoidable?

they are set to size cm 200x500x300, set it to zero for original dimensions

Ok… sorry if I was asking without trying your scene…but I haven’t time to make some useful test.

Good develop!
