Just another work to add to the portfolio.
Cycles 4000 samples
Really nice! You’re great with lighting, looks like you use a lot of exterior light to do the lion’s share of the work. Any pointers on lighting a windowless room, like a small bathroom?
Hey F_W…thanks for the comment. ![]()
If the exterior is the main light source which it usually is then utilize it to the max even to the point of being ‘Blown out’ as in a photo. Pluss low powered Area lights in each window helps to balance the overall colour of the scene.
I would light it like how it would be lit in real life, use spot lights and maybe strip lights in the furniture.
Make sure you use realistic Blackbody temperatures and make it bright, I see a so many interior scenes that are too dark or ‘gloomy’ for some reason. Hope this helps.
Got it, I do those things, including dialing in the blackbody temp. I do tend to err towards too dark though, I don’t know why I do that. I think i get afraid of overexposing, but maybe overexposing isn’t always necessarily a bad thing. Anyway great work!
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
I am not generally a fan of pure white spaces, but this, this is gorgeous!
The only thing I would add is something to break up that wall behind the sink and stairwell.
Love it!
Yea it’s funny you mentioned the empty space because I had a decorative wall panel up there which I later removed…
