Archimap won't work anymore? [SOLVED]

I have a motorcycle model I just made for testing glsl shaders. It’s not a game model; just for a test, so the UV layout doesn’t have to be perfect; so I was planning to use ArchiMap to unwrap it, but it doesn’t seem to be working. Hell, I tried to use the UV Image Layout script, too, just as a quick way to create a texture file, and it crashed Blender.
Have most old scripts been invalidated by later Blender revisions? Is there anything like the good old Archimap I can use?, or am I going to have to place seams in this model?

the archimap script isn’t needed anymore. use “smart projections” instead.
