Are Bullet and Mantaflow independent physics engines?

Are Bullet and Mantaflow independent physics engines? Or is Bullet responsible for some of Mantaflow’s physics?

the physics engines in blender are independent and don’t affect each other.
You can however use objects from a baked rigid body simulation as effectors (collision) for the fluid simulation. But the fluid simulation won’t have an effect on the rigid body simulation itself.
