Are my export settings wrong?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been having this issue for a while now and i looked every video and forum i could find. I’m writing down some details that could’ve been the problem but wasn’t;

-My FBX file is only 600 kb

-It doesn’t have any normal/roughness maps etc.

-My character’s size is small.

-My export settings are the same as I’ve used always.

I didn’t have any problems and could rig my character as i wanted, this error popped up suddenly and i can’t use mixamo anymore, i really need to fix this issue, please help :disappointed:

I also tried to use different models, same error

Could there have been a change on Mixamo’s side? Maybe there are some settings that now need to be different from how they used to be? I’m not familiar with Mixamo, this is just a suggestion.

Have you tried with models that you know for sure have worked previously?

yesi did :frowning:

I went to check this bug on the Mixamo community. I found someone who managed to fix the issue by copying the model to a new .blend scene (open a second .blend file and use ctrl+c on the model, then switch to the new scene and ctrl+v) and then export the .fbx from that new scene.

Also, I found people saying that Mixamo is really bad at using existing armatures. They were suggesting you could export the model without the armature (maybe as an obj file even) and use Mixamo’s rigging tools to create one.

hi, thank you for your reply, yes i tried that but unfortunately it didn’t change anything. Also my model already didn’t have any rigs, i wanted to export the mesh into mixamo to have it rigged.

Apparently the issue was that the model somehow had a couple of uv maps, i deleted the other ones and i could export it to mixamo.
