Are there any ways that I can select just the yellow highlight part?

I tried to Alt-LMB and it will select the entire left side of the edge, are there any shortcut I can use to select/ deselect the edge?

Have you tried the lasso select?

(shift space-bar L)

A bit correction on the detail, the yellow highlight specifically means for selecting the red line(seam), when I alt-clicking it, it will select the entire left side of the edge from top to bottom. I just want to select the red line which is on the bottle cap.

Also, thanks for the suggestion, I learnt a new way on selecting the faces.

If you select one of those edges you can then shift G (select similar) and then seam. But it will select all the seams.

You can also select the first and last edge and in the select menu Select Linked - Shortest path
