How would I go about texturing and adding materials to a paved road?

Is there an asphalt material or tutorial someone could refer me to?

as far as the stripes go, should I just apply them as an image texture after applying materials?

For base asphalt with relatively uniform randomness, I would start with something like this.
For stripes, I would UV unwrap and create a mask that shader mix’es between the asphalt above and whatever material you use for paint. That paint would probably be so thick it wouldn’t use any of the bump information in the asphalt.
