Assets not showing when assets folder moved to Laptop?

Hi,
I’ve copied my asset folder from my main PC to my Laptop.
Added the folder to Asset Libraries under File Paths and saved the preferences.
When open a new file and enter the asset browser, the directory can be seen named “assets”, but no actual assets.
I’ve tried selecting “all” and “unassigned”, but nothing shows.
As a test I opened a .blend file of one the assets and used “mark as asset” then resaved it.
This actually showed up!!
I have a lot of assets in subfolders, is there anything else I can try before having to open every single blend file and re selecting “save as asset”?

Also can anybody remind me how to make a shader an asset?

Cheers
B

Did you copy over the ‘blender_assets.cats.txt’ ?
If yes, try without it, if no, try copying it.
Re-marking everything should not be necessary.

Shader asset: Do you mean a node-group? if yes then you can rightclick here where the name is and you should have the ability to mark it

No I did not, Thankyou!!
Where would I find that?

It should be located in the root folder of the original asset library on your main PC.

Thank you so much for your help.
In the end I re-copied the entire folder.
It looks like the first time it only copied the sub-folders and none of the blend files.
So that was never going to work lol, all working now though.
Cheers
