Here is a simple 2D shooter built entirely with logic bricks. The concept is pretty simple, your ship is traveling through an asteroid belt, as ships gunner it is your job to deflect or destroy as many asteroids as possible to enable your ship to pass safely.
The game is not quite complete, unfortunately due (I think) to the age of my machine and it’s very shoddy graphics card, it now crashes my blender player every time I try to test it which has halted development somewhat.
It’s hard to tell, but there seem to be no sounds, and the asteroids come very infrequently but fast. The shots move slowly and fall to the ground, which I assume they aren’t supposed to do. Could be a compatibility issue, though. Are you using 2.49 or 2.6?
Yes I’m aware of the issue with the sounds, one or two splash screens and bonuses are missing too, as I said in the first post further development has been awkward as it keeps crashing my blenderplayer. It shouldn’t play as you have experienced it though, there should be a pretty constant flow of asteroids and shots should be reasonably fast and travel straight off screen if they do not contact anything. It was built in 2.49b so if you’re using 2.6 that might be the issue
