Attention: Spambot threads aren't there for you to joke, discuss, or post in.

I see replies in nearly all of the spambot threads, and people joke in the threads, think about this. If the business saw you enjoying their threads, then would you think they’d send bots more often?

They’re going to be deleted anyway and all post count gain will be lost, seriously, one spambot thread has at least 10 replies, just let the mods delete them.

Indeed. Just report the post. For those who don’t know it’s the little red stop sign-like button under the post.

Actually, they’re gonna do what they do whether you look at it or not.

Such is the nature of the spam bot.

Oppps, perhaps I should not have responded to this thread.

Yeah, ropsta has it right, they won’t care if you post or not. This shoe bot has 3 accounts for the same advertisements. I don’t care about my post count. I also think we should keep the spamthreads on the first page, it’d be easier for mods to find.

Yes, don’t post in the threads, please report them so that they will be deleted quicker.

The spam-bots, or CD’s?

I’ll stop posting in them if you give me a good answer; why can’t we post in them?

I won’t stop posting in them ever. You can’t make stop. No way Jose. Cause I’m Big, Bad & Very Ugly. And I’m a bully too.

If you don’t post in the thread, and the moderator sees several “this is spam” reports, the moderator deletes the spambot’s account, and that’s that.

If you post in the thread, and someone else reports it as spam, the moderator actually has to read the thread, to make sure it isn’t a grey area with some legitimacy.

So, by posting in the thread, you are delaying the demise of the hated spam thread.

It doesn’t need to stay on the front page for the mods to find it.

Okay, fine, I’m done with it.

I won’t post in them neither now. Also I’m not big, bad or ugly. That was just a threat. And I don’t bully either.

I’m gonna knee you in the ribs and shoot your left foot.

Sorry. Think I must have looked for “Report Post” before I logged in, then not noticed it before replying.

I am fine with what you are saying CD, and do agree totally with you, but just noticing your join date and your post count, I see I have been on these forums a little longer than you but you still have 7,000 more posts than me:eek:. Got me thinking, is spamming to be considered just for businesses outside of the blender community or should it encompass those who also spam threads with their ‘ryuu’ (japanese word for dragon) talk, just to get their post count up…???

To the admins, you are doing a great job deleting these spammers.

To CD it is not a personal attack, just I remember you spamming threads to no end with complete nonsense as well. Just something to think about before you have a go at others for doing the same thing you used to do that’s all.:eyebrowlift2: Peace Bro

so we all agree. thanks.

I responded with obscene language on one of those threads so that it would be removed faster. I will not stand to see that crap in the GE forums.

Thanks for removing it (whoever it was). I really appreciate that.

Next time i’ll just report it.

Honestly, this forum is not a competition, CD.
You have more than 7000 posts (!), proving that you live here and give to much importance to your own post count…

I’ve reported those spams lately and just posted once to mention that i’ve repoted to the admin, so that the others don’t have to do it and overwhelm the modos with messages.
If it is better NOT to post anything, then fine, i won’t do it anymore.

Guys, this isn’t grounds for discussion. Just report the posts so we can nix the robots. No one wants the spam around, just do your part to help us keep on top of it.
