Audio trouble

I cant seem to get my belender program to import wav audio. I have tried installing 2.42a, 2.42, and 2.41. all of them tell me that the wav file is not a wav file. but my computer says it is a wav file. I recorded these files using Guitar tracks pro. my file info is below
Bit rate…1411kbps
Audio sample size …16 bit
chanels …2(stereo)
audio sample rate…44kHz
Audio format…PCM
 Does any one kow what is wrong?

hmm, i won’t know why it’s doing that. Give the latest CVS build with ffmpega try, those have much better media support. Get the ‘no opt’ build if your CPU doesn’t support SSE

Maybe Guitar Tracks Pro corrupted the WAV file somehow… If in any doubt, import the audio file into another audio editor, check you can play it, and then re-save it as a new file, using Windows PCM, 44.1kHz, 16bit Mono or Stereo. Then you should be OK. Audacity is a free open source audio editor that should work well. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

sorry I alredy figured out that it was the guitar tracks program. audacity is the way to go. audacity works great
