Hi Everybody,
just finished this engine. Designed in 1917 by Ferdinand Porsche.
Build from 2 drawings and a bunch of photographs.
Even though there is no crankshaft, pistons or camshaft the model is rigged and the movement of the valves correspond to the rotation of the crankshaft. Also note the movement of the control rod for the carburetor and for the ignition coils.
All done in blender, rendered with Cycles at 500 samples and some postproduction.
