Avoid distortions on extruded curve

Is there a way to avoid the distortions at the top and the bottom of an extruded curve with some depth applied?

It’s a straight curve with a bit of extrusion and a tiny amount of depth.

You seem to do it the other around. In my version the guiding line is the curve and the shape is just created by using the values Extrude and Depth. In your version the oval shape seems to be a curve and the depth is created by the Extrude value.

Just create a straight line and set some values for Extrude and Depth.

Ahhh now i see… no i don’t believe that this so easy (without geometry nodes :wink:) because the unextruded version (left) does have circular UV and the extruded version (right) gets the distorsion…:
