Hi all - my attempt at the start of another lonely plane thread.
Will be a similar style to my Mi-6 (Which now has two sales in 7 days on turbosquid )

Nice start on the Avro!
Good model, I like the view from the gunner’s seat. Must have been a terrible feeling, sitting there and can’t do anything if a fighter is approaching from the side. The propeller blades can be a bit more twisted at the root from what I saw on the internet. I’m curious how you will texture it.
Rough texture painting done!
The lines will now be cleaned up in gimp, and major and minor rivets will be added.
Interesting approach on the hull plating. Just out of interest. What kind of textures do you want to use? Diffuse and height map? How are you going to implement some displacement? Just with the displacement socket?
Finished panel lines
Lots of updated goodness!
Would you be willing to do a short tutorial on unwrapping the model and texture painting the panel lines?
Cool. Nice job with the paneling and rivets. How detailed are you going to be with the model?
Nice reflections and nice glass shader. But something is wrong with the motion blur, although it adds to the scene. I think the sharp edges at the propeller blades tips shouldn’t be that sharp. I’ve only found images where this part is the most blurred part, which is, because the tips are the fastest moving parts, I guess.
Longaly - I might try that later at the end of this project (depending on time)
DanielW - The model itself is pretty much done I believe, but texturing+materials+Scene models still need a lot of work!
Minoribus - I have completely redone all my compositing, and it now takes about 5x longer, but I have fixed the sharp edges. Do you think there is any improvement?
Hugh
Yes, the motion blur is definitely better. Keep it up!
