This is my Babu Frik model I’ve been working on for the past couple of weeks. This is my first time sculpting a character from scratch, and I’m super happy with how it turned out. I originally had no intention of texturing and rendering this, as he was modelled for 3D printing, but I thought it’d be fun - and it was.
I was super lazy though as a result, and so UV unwrapped and rigged the raw sculpt…~950k verts. Not the best idea, but worked surprisingly well.
Sculpting, Modelling and Rendering all done in Blender. Texturing in Substance.
Rigged with a riggify rig which works as well as it needs to.
EDIT: Spent the past few days getting him 3D print ready. I’ll be uploading the files soon. I did most of the cutting in MeshMixer.
