Background Images

Hello Blender Artist Community,

I’ve been absent from Blender for a long time due to my studies and I haven’t had time to really work on anything. I’m starting a new project to do and I need help! I got 2.75a and I can’t find the background image node on the render panel. Can someone help me? I really want to start another project and maybe post it to get some critique and pointers.

Thanks everyone

What do you want to do ?
What renderer are you using ?
Show an example of what you are expecting to see. If you mean the backbuf image in blender 2.4x then there’s no option in the current blender

For a background you can add texture to world background or add background image in compositor
For background images for use as modelling reference, add to properties panel (N)

I need it for modeling reference. I almost freaked out when I couldn’t find it in mine. So use just the properties panel for a background image for reference… okay, thank you for your help

For background references the options are:
Background Images panel https://www.blender.org/manual/editors/3dview/background_images.html?highlight=background
Images as Planes addon http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Extensions:2.6/Py/Scripts/Add_Mesh/Planes_from_Images
Add an empty and set it to show an image https://www.blender.org/manual/modeling/empties.html?highlight=empty
