Just curious…
Need to retexture a model, going to paint it in substance painter, could really use a material map.
How would I make one in blender? Is there a bake material ID map? Or perhaps I can material what I want to be separate, adding a different color per material, and perhaps generate a map from all of those???
If you just want a map that has a different color per material, I would say just make several different colored temporary materials and set the bake mode to Textures. If they’re just simple no-texture materials it will just bake their diffuse colors.
