Bastet (Egypt. bȝstt) is the ancient Egyptian goddess of joy, fun and love, female beauty, fertility, hearth and cats. Bastet was depicted as a cat or a woman with a cat’s head.
Inspired by the works of the ancient Egyptian masters, I did not try to convey the full proportions of the cat. At the same time, I was trying to visualize the power of the Bastet cat.
