Beachhouse Archviz

This is a finalised render for a modern house project, showing the approach to the front door.

The site is on a western coast with a large island offshore and the sunsets are regularly spectacular. So it made sense to design a scene set in the blue hour.

Cycles render with the island and vignette added in post. Any feedback would be gratefully received.

I love the glow on the roof, it really gives a soft feel. And the colors are very good too.

This rending has a lovely mood - the lighting is outstanding. Did you use an HDRI for it?
Is this a commercial project or a personal one?

I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!

Thanks Bart! That’s confidence inspiring!

Thanks! The lighting is a sunset HDRI from Polyhaven. Fortunately the photo of the island matched the HDRI colours and intensity so not too much work was required in post. We southern-hemisphere-types are very lucky many of Polyhaven’s HDRI’s are from South Africa.

Thanks for the feedback. I was worried the glow was a bit much because the original render was quite crisp and looked good. But it definitely adds to the “story.”
