Beginner to Blender and require help please (Candy Wrapper Deformation)

Hello, I’m new to blender and have been trying to make a model but I’ve been having problems with the elbow and forearm and other places deforming when twisting bones.

The first Picture depicts the arm with the palm facing towards the ground, so far everything looks ok

The problem comes when i try to twist the arm so that the palm faces towards the sky

In the human body the wrists is able to rotate thanks to the forearm so i also want my model to work like than but when i rotate the forearm so that the palm faces upward the elbow shrinks and resembles a sort of candy wrapper.

Why does this happen and does anyone know how to fix it.

Could any one tell me how to fix it please, And if you don’t know do you know what i could search to hopefully find the answers. I’ve tried searching for answers myself but anything i type comes up with nothing useful.

The problem is that the wrist does not twist like that, (actually it twists very little.)
When you twist your hand it is your forearm that twists, in real life there are 2 bones in the forearm that do this twist. (I have not seen rigs that do it that way)

Here is one method to do it (sorry just music)

and here another. In this video he also mentions another way using shape keys. There are various solutions for this.
(sorry he goes very fast)

If you search for “Blender hand twist” or arm twist you should find more videos and methods.
