Between two mirrors

Working on abstract art in general, this is my first serious work with blender, dealing with the well-known two-mirrors “infinity” theme.
In an apartment hotel in Hamburg, I recently experienced the consequences of “misaligned” mirrors in a fully mirrored elevator, with an interesting runaway of the mirrored images in a curve to the back.
I decided to use this as a basis for a raytracing image, using minimal “equipment” and a camera in the first-person position.
It soon became apparent that with the cube object there was actually no space left for the camera between the mirrors. It would only see the cube itself and only little of its reflections.
So this concept turned up as very limited in its possible perspectives.
The solution finally came with using a one-way mirror and positioning the camera outside.
