Bevel corner loop with even thickness

If I have a corner loop and I want to bevel it, how do I bevel it so that each side will have even thickness? Is there a way to do this without filling in the hole, bevel, then inset like on the left?

don’t know if this helps, but if you activate the ā€˜edit mesh tools’ addon you can offset edges by a fixed width like this:

Thanks. Unfortunately if there’s an angle like within some complex geometries, it will be difficult.

if i understand the firt one so that you have the right part and want the left one… then you might use the TinyCAD addon and select and the edge where the might cross to find the point where i set the 3D Cursor and the scale with pivot point set to 3D Cursor…

(my width is 0.375… and for this it doesn’t work…)

For such cases im personally use this addon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1tg58T88bM
But i never need to match it to perfect length/real dimensions.

But generally: way better to simply avoid such situations.

not sure how this one looks from all sides, but couldn’t you just bevel the inner part and then use alt+e → extrude faces along normal? That would give you a wall with equal width, too.

Well… it seems i just don’t understand the actual problem  while insettign the curve si slight differeent… and what is where to bevel ?? ( maybe i thing of something diiferent ??)

I wanted to know if it’s possible to bevel the corners evenly like what you have there without inset as it would require filling in the hole; If you were to start with a square ring for example.

There’s also a way to prepare geometry first with a 2 cuts and use bevel in percentage mode + clamping:

Uhhhh… now i get it… i mostly was beveling edges… but not an already provided ā€œcorners geometryā€ā€¦

…thanks @SoundDifferent i got another point of view today…
