Bevel profile and even thickness

hi guys,
I’ve a problem with the scene attached.
curve_sweep.zip (100.7 KB)

The problem is that when I try to bevel a curve using another curve, the thickness is not even in the corner or it creates a messy mesh.

The correct mesh I’d like to have it should be like this (made using 3dsmax)

Where am I wrong?
Is there something similar to the 3dsmax sweep modifier ?

Hey, This comes from using a 3D curve as the guide, its a long standing issue, so nothing wrong on your part. You can use a 2D curve as your guide .

Thank you for your suggestion.
It’s a pity that, as 2D curve, I’m forced to have the curve on the horizontal plane.

Anyone know an addon that has workarounded the problem with 3d curve?
I’ve tried this geomNode Z-Curve-Sweeper for Blender 3.0 (Curve-to-Mesh with superpowers) but without success

Hi, an update has been posed to the GumRoad file to fix even-thickness issues with Bezier curves. Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you for the tips and for your great geomNode group
