Modeling a human is much easier than modeling a dragon, a cougar / puma, and a few other things I’ve been practicing on since last posting. At least there’s a lot more easier to reference images to use.
Oh and that was just a few hours work - the joys of having a day off to play.
As said, human modeling is so much easier than animal modeling. And yes, this is my own work. I started out with a rough body - took maybe 6 hours on Thursday to complete [the fun of snow days and schooling, no class]. Followed a few head tutorials and hand tutorial.
Close up of the face. I’m thinking either older or just weary sort of soldier. Probably won’t change much else to the face unless choose to do a bust image.
If you are talking seeing the wireframe I am currently at school - medical field, all my 3D art / sculpting is self taught - and won’t be home to my model for a few hours.
Hey…love the direction you are taking him…one small crit would be the direction the horns are exiting his scull. From the side it looks awesome but from the front you could try exiting them slightly more skew to the sides instead of straight back.
The wings were something I did a while ago, probably when I started blender almost a year ago, as I was attempting to make something… a demented butterfly??? seeing as the file was saved under butterfly - I keep all my old files just in case there’s something I can use. I resized them and added the basic outline of “fingers” following the oh so traditional bat-wing look.
Again another sleep on decision as they are not even attached to the body right now.
Just some random ideas.
It might be the camera angle but the wings seem way to small.
The abs look good, but they could use some refinement.
Some ridges on the horns and skin ridge around the horn might make it look even better.
Hey… Love the way the horns come out the head now but macktruck6666 is right. A ridge where they exit will sell them even more. The wings are a nice addition…not sure how many flying horned creatures I have seen around…so that’s cool! I would just adjust the tip of the wing to form more of a point…currently they don’t look aerodynamic enough to get him off the ground. They probably are to small also but making them to big might create problems later when posing your character…but that can be taken care of. He is coming along great!
