I strapped together a VR headset from a generic 6inch 2K HDMI display off Alibaba and a UCVR eye box.
I use BGE stereo side-by-side with a distortion shader to correct for barrel distortion somebody wrote for Oculus DK2.
Everything works OK when I scale the BGE window down so the center of each half matches the center of each eye. However this means there’s lots of wasted screen space.
To fill in the whole display I need to offset the center of each of the halves in opposing direction.
I’m not talking about adjusting IPD, this is not the correct solution to this problem and causes eyes to diverge.
In BGE when you do stereo side-by-side can you lens-shift the view per eye?
